The City of Lyndon provides Water, Sewer, Trash and Stormwater utilities.
Connection Fee For Service
A non-refundable connection fee of $100 total shall be charged at the time a customer requests and is granted water, sewer, solid waste, and or any combination thereof.
The full amount of the connection fee shall be paid to the City Clerk before any service shall be made. Person(s) must come to City Hall and fill out utility application and provide valid ID.
Accounts will not be set up over the phone or without payment of deposit.
Billing Cycle and Payment of Bill:
Meters are read between the 1st and 4th of the month. Bills are mailed on or before the 10th of the month and are due by the 23rd.
If the 23rd falls on a non-working day, payment is due on the next business day. Delinquent accounts shall be assessed a $10.00 late charge. Late notices shall be mailed on the 24th or next working day, extending receipt of payment in full until noon on the 1st of the following month; if not paid by noon, services will be terminated.
Accounts not paid by the 1st of the following month will be terminated without further notice. If a city employee or their designee returns to the residence to terminate service, the meter shall be locked and a reconnect fee of $100 and trip charge of $25 will be charged to the account.
Services will not be restored until the account, including any penalties, has been paid in full.
Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For customer convenience, a drop box is located on the south side of the City Hall building for payment. The City also have online bill pay available on the home page of this website.

Trash Rates:
The City of Lyndon contracts with Ottawa Sanitation to provide trash services. Please contact the City office with any questions or concerns.
Rate is $15.00 per month and includes 1 poly cart. Additional poly carts can be ordered through the City for an additional $6.00 per month. No additional bags outside the polycart will not be picked up with a trash sticker. Stickers are available at City Hall and are 4 for $6.00.
