Full Time Maintenance
This position is responsible for maintenance of water and sanitary sewer systems as well as city streets, property, equipment and facilities under the direction of the Public Works Director.
Work hours are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and require working some holidays and weekends.
Preferred applicant should have knowledge of pumps, motors, controls and electrical. Operator certification in water or wastewater is also preferred, but will train the right person. Employee must reside within 30 minutes drive time to Lyndon and must hold a valid driver's license.
The City offers a compensation package including paid leave, health, dental, and vision insurance, and KPERS.
Base salary $17.00 per hour and based on qualifications.

Part-Time / Seasonal Maintenance

Base salary $10.00 per hour.

Part Time Police Officer
Minimum requirements include high school graduate or have GED Equivalent, 21-years of age at the time of appointment, pass a background check, no criminal record and must hold a valid Kansas driver's license.
CPOST certified preferred, but not required.
Duties and responsibilities include enforcing all federal, state and local laws and ordinances; taking calls for service; patrolling business districts and residential neighborhoods to deter and detect crime; investigating complaints; citing and/or arresting law violators; following up on pending reports and cases; protecting person(s) or property; and provides animal control services. When not responding to calls for service, department members are expected to use self-directed work time in an efficient manner by self-initiating work on those tasks identified by supervisory personnel as priorities for this job position.
Base Salary $16.50 per hour and based on qualifications. 16 hours a week
