Part-Time Seasonal Mower

 

The City of Lyndon is hiring for a seasonal mower.  This position is responsible for the mowing of city facilities and parks under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor.  Other duties also include maintenance of city streets, property, equipment and facilities as assigned.   Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Position wage is  $14.00 per hour.

Part Time Officer Position

Job Title: Patrol Officer
Department: Lyndon Police Department
Location: Lyndon, Kansas (Osage County)
Pay: $19.50 – $21.00/hr (Depending on Qualifications)

Position Overview:

The City of Lyndon Police Department is seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as Police Officers. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and protecting the rights of citizens. As a Part-Time Police Officer, you will engage with the community, respond to emergencies, and conduct investigations to ensure a safe environment for all.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
  • Respond promptly to calls for service, emergencies, and incidents.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of crimes and incidents, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and other relevant information.
  • Enforce traffic laws and regulations to ensure road safety.
  • Engage with community members to build trust and foster positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass an extensive background investigation and psychological exam
• Valid Kansas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be of good moral character
• No felony convictions
• No domestic battery convictions or diversions
• No disqualifying misdemeanor convictions
• Must reside within Osage County withing one year of hire
• Must be able to attend and pass all educational and physical requirements of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC)
• This position requires shift work, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Kansas Law Enforcement Officer

Compensation & Incentives
• $19.50–$21.00/hr (Depending on Qualifications)
• (1) Part-Time position open. (No Benefits)
